Daddy & the Lil' Kayakers

Here's a picture of the Glover Gang's "Extreme Kayaker" and his little helpers. The Provo River Canyon is awesome for kayaking this time of year.

Erica and Isaac visit Utah!!

We had a great time when Auntie Erica and Issac came to visit us in Utah. Since they had never been here before, we took them to all the most important places...like Temple Square and the Museum of Ancient Life (a.k.a., Dinosaur Museum) :-) The kids enjoyed playing together and Isaac fit right in with the Glover Gang!!

Temple Square with Issac

We all had lots of fun with Aunt Erica and cousin Issac when they came to visit here in Utah!! Since they had never been here before, we took them to some of the MOST important places...like Temple Square and the Dinosaur Museum :-) The kids had a great time playing together and enjoying the sights. Isaac fight right in with the Glover Gang and had lots of new adventures, too!

The Boyz of Summer

Summer trips up Provo Canyon are hard to beat! With rafting or tubing on the river and lots of play areas to go hiking and exploring, it's a boyz paradise. The big boy (Steve) likes to kayak down the river--so we drop him off at the top of the canyon by the dam and the kids and I meet him downriver..It's lot's of fun for everyone. These pics really capture the fun spirit of being a 'boy' in the summer...

Aimee's Parade Adventure

One of the highlights of the 4th of July this year was little Aimee's reaction to the whole thing!!! Since she's almost 2, and such a 'big girl', she got to go right out on the street and sit with Daddy and the big boyz to watch the Parade action...and boy did she have fun. She danced, sang, took her shoes off and said "HI!!!" to everyone...what a fun time for all of us and such special memories, too!!!

More Fun at the 4th of July Parade....

4th of July Parade, Provo--Utah

One of our favorite "Family Traditions" is attending the 4th of July Parade in Provo every year. This year was no different--we woke-up at 6:00AM to get ready and run out the door to Provo to get a "good spot" for viewing the parade. This year, we managed to get a shady spot which was a HUGE relief in the 103 degree weather.

We load the little ones up in a wagon with lawn chairs, blankets and lots of drinks. Then we park ourselves and enjoy what I think is the MOST patriotic parade in the entire USA!!!! Real floats (like the ones on TV), marching bands galore, military fighter jet fly-overs, fire trucks, police squads, even llamas!! This year I took pics with my new camera--and I was thrilled to find some good ones to post. So enjoy a little piece of "Americana" at the Provo Independence Day Parade....

My Little Tough-Guy!!

Well, it was bound to happen...the biggest hallmark of the Summer of 2008 was a broken arm. And the lucky winner was.....Reilly! (like you couldn't guess :-)
On the SECOND DAY of Summer Vacation, Reilly fell off the monkey bars at school during Hunter's baseball game. After a quick trip to the emergency room and weekend with a splint on, Reilly became the proud owner of the Glover Gang's first 'cast.' He chose his favorite color, BLUE, and was such a good little trooper. As we were leaving the doctors office, he went running out a full-speed yelling "I HAVE A CAST>>>I BROKE MY ARM>>>>HUNTER< AREN'T YOU JEALOUS! The nurses and doctors were betting that he'd break his other arm BEFORE he got the first cast off!
