Christmas 2009 with the Glover Gang...

Well, I can hardly believe it...but another Christmas has come and gone in a blur of snowflakes, ribbon, and children's laughter! If was our first Christmas in the new house, and though there was some initial concern, Santa DID find us and leave goodies for all the good little boys and girl ;-)

The stocking were hung from the stairs with care (we don't have a fireplace...), and to the delight of 5 Glover kiddos, Santa had filled them and left them carefully on the couch--of course!!!!

Aimee got lots of "Princess" jewelry and a crown...plus a "My Little Pony Baby" and can still be heard shouting "Pony, pony, pony !!" with glee all over the house. Aidan got Transformers and a robot dinosaur, while Reilly got his 1st skateboard, SPIKE the dinosaur and lots of other goodies. Hunter, the senior member of the Glover Gang, relaxed on Christmas morning...and was delighted to get the new Clue game, a Nintendo DS, and new Bakugan for his collection. Little Liam just had fun looking at everything an opening his presents...as always, Thomas the Train toys are his favorite (just like his big brother Hunter at that age...)

We did our best without Daddy, who was (and continues to be) bravely working in Afghanistan...and there were lots of squeals and giggles when we talked to him in the morning and told him what Santa had brought....

How does a busy mommy of 5 take pictures of herself and the kids for 'Daddy' while he's far away in Afghanistan??? Well, with the computer cam, of course.... ;-) Here's what we came up with for our first try:

The Princess & her Tea Party...

On this sunny Friday afternoon, Princess Aimee held her first official "
Tea Party." The official guests were baby Liam, Bedtime Bear and Bella, her baby doll.
Refreshments included cheerios, raisins, and delicious 'Sunny Delight' tea. Also served, pretend Birthday cake and pizza! It was a fabulous event, as you can tell from the pictures and guest photos. :-)

Fun at the Park !!

We went to the park last night to play and get some of the 'wiggles' out...and it was little Liam's 1st time in the play area. He was really concerned at first, but got comfortable after a while. Everyone had fun jumping and climbing, and the weather was perfect!

Shhhhh! I Be a Princess !!

Girls are so different from boys...seriously! When my boyz get in trouble, they say "I didn't do it", or "Hunter/Reilly/Aidan made me do it!" When Aimee gets in trouble, she holds out a pink flower ring and says, "Shhhhh, I be a Princess!!" HA! Look out guys, she's gonna be a pistol when she's older :-0

Easter 2009

Easter 2009 was a bit different for us this year. First, we had to celebrate without Daddy, because he's in Afghanistan...we all missed him lots!! Second, everyone was in the middle of the *FLU*, with various states of coughing, sneezing, and tummy-aching. But we still managed to have lots of fun dying Easter eggs in our jammies :-)

Well, it turns out that there's a REAL REASON the 'Doctor says...NO MORE MONKEY's JUMPIN ON THE BED!!!" Little Aimee Madeleine was jumping on Reilly's bed (the bottom bunk) with her brothers and slipped off the end of the bed and caught her left leg between the mattress and the foot-board. After many tears and 24 hours of "concerned" mommy observance, I took her to get an x-ray and found out she broke her tibia at the very top, under her knee. This is her 2nd WEEK with her 'PINK'...and I thinks she adapting nicely. I no longer have to carry her--she walks with her 'PINK' even runs when she gets the chance....I'm sure sad she broke her little leg, but DARN that little PINK cast is CUTE ;_)

Halloween 2008 with the Glover Gang!!

Well, Halloween has come and gone already and we're within striking distance of Thanksgiving...Where does the time go? Little Aidan is still wearing his costume and asking if we can go "Treat or Treating Tonight?"

This year, the boys decided to wear their costumes to school, so Hunter went as a PIRATE and REILLY went as a PTERADACTYL. Later in the evening, Reilly changed his costume choice and went to the Trunk-or-Treat as a dinosaur--so Reilly and Aidan matched!! Too cute :-) Aimee was a little LADYBUG this year, and her red and black tutu was so sweet. I couldn't help but smile as she danced and said "wook at me" with glee! And last but not least, sweet little Liam was a PUMPKIN. He had to be the cutest pumpkin in the patch and we all loved seeing him smile with his little costume on.
